According to relevant records, the King of the Austro-Hungarian Empire awarded the title of the Leia family aristocrats in 1735.

From 1930, his grandfather Edvard Reya made 8,000 liters of wine and started the winemaking history of the Leia family; then his son Emeran took over and joined forces with his wife Boža to establish a new wine cellar to introduce modern technology.

After the death of the old owner Emeran in 2006, his son Edvard took over the winery. He innovated on the basis of inheriting the winemaking tradition of his ancestors, and adhered to the concept of sustainable development for the cultivation and brewing of grapes.

In 2016, the vineyard was converted into organic planting, following organic brewing.

In 2019, the first bottle of wine with an organic certificate was born.

The winery has firmly believed in the past dynasties, followed the rules of nature, and firmly believed that good wines began in the vineyards.

The vineyard is organically grown, and the winemakers fully express themselves with the best wines, and the ultimate will be expressive terroir masterpieces.

The winery mainly grows Rebula, Tocai Friulano and Malvazija.
