Radgonske Gorice is located in the Radgonske Gorice (Ragon Hill) hilly area in northeastern Slovenia, since 1852 It has been brewing and cellaring wines, and it has spanned more than three centuries and more than 170 years. As the founder of the Slovenia sparkling wine industry, Crane Winery is not only the country’s oldest sparkling wine producer, but also the largest and most award-winning industry benchmark.
Land and Vineyards
The Lagon Mountain area where the winery is located is deeply affected by the continental climate of the Pannonia Plain – the hot summer and cold winters, and the dry and fresh Pannonia air flow travels through the hills, forming an ideal microclimate for grape growth. Sufficient sunshine, mild rainfall, suitable temperature, plus brown sandy loam and brown sandy gravel soil evolved from the ostensible loam, although the fertility is not high, it is very conducive to the concentrated expression of high-quality wine grapes. Zlata Radgonska Penina
The Soul of Crane Winery is also the first sparkling wine in Slovenia, born in 1852. Using the classic fermentation method (traditional champagne method), 100% Chardonnay brewed with 12.0% vol. The wine is bright yellow in sunlight, and the bubbles are delicate and long-lasting, exuding an elegant fragrance of floral and linden flowers, and then extends the layering of the crust and yeast. The smooth taste and perfect balance are the peak expression of the art of Slovenia’s sparkling wine.

Known as ‘the sparkling wine in the hearts of Slovenians’, it is the most frequently selected sparkling wine for consumers in the country. The soft golden luster and the young and energetic taste are suitable for daily celebration and sharing. Untouched by Light – The world’s first dark brewing sparkling wine
This is Radgonske Gorice’s most revolutionary product: the world’s first sparkling wine brewed in complete darkness. Every link of fermentation in the bottle is harvested from grapes to prevent all light contact. Scientific confirmation that after only five minutes of light exposure to light, the flavor begins to undergo perceptual changes. Untouched by Light preserves the purest and most primitive expression of sparkling wine with absolute darkness.
The winery has designed an exclusive experience around this wine: the whole dark tasting in the depths of the Roman wheel and waterfall cellar, the participants wear special black mirrors and eye masks, and compare the golden label brewed in the light Brut and the birth in the dark Untouched by light, feel the subtle influence of light on flavor. The experience is 2 hours, up to 10 people.
Pet-Nat Renina
Brewed using the Méthode Ancestral – bottling before the first fermentation is completed, allowing the liquor to be fermented naturally in the bottle. 100% Ranina grapes, 11.5% vol. without adding sulfur, no filtration, retaining natural cloudy texture. It’s a playful and pleasant wine – each bite may bring a different expression.
